CAIS

CAIS runs a platform that connects independent financial advisors and wealth management home offices with alternative asset managers and structured note issuers. Asset managers use it to reach the independent wealth channel, and bank issuers use it to distribute structured notes.

Advisors can use the turnkey CAIS Marketplace, while larger firms can license its SaaS software for trade and post-trade work across all of a firm's alternative holdings. The platform digitizes fund subscriptions and sends data to major custodians and reporting providers. Funds on the Marketplace go through independent due diligence by Mercer. Other tools include CAIS Capital Markets for structured investments across their life cycle, CAIS Custom Funds for launching single- or multi-manager vehicles, CAIS Compass for portfolio construction, a models marketplace, ETF information, CAISey, an AI tool for comparing funds, and CAIS IQ for advisor education.

CAIS was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in New York. In January 2022 it raised $225 million in a round led by Apollo and Motive Partners, valuing it at more than $1 billion, and in July 2026 it announced new strategic investors at a valuation of over $2 billion. In 2026 it added strategies from managers including Apollo, AQR, Blackstone and Coatue, and expanded its structured investment and outcome-oriented ETF offerings. Its annual CAIS Summit is held in Beverly Hills.
