SEI sells wealth management technology, outsourced operations, custody and investment management to banks, wealth managers, independent trust companies, RIAs and broker-dealer advisors. It also serves asset managers and institutional investors.

For banks and wealth managers, the core product is the SEI Wealth Platform, which supports wealth management technology together with outsourced operations. Around it SEI offers consulting and implementation services, a managed data platform called SEI Data Cloud, and managed IT and cybersecurity services. For independent and hybrid RIAs and broker-dealer advisors, its independent-advisor business unit packages technology, custody through SEI Private Trust Company, and managed investment strategies, with tax overlay and tax transition tools. In October 2026 it added Pathfinder, a portal with valuation, succession planning and education resources for advisors.

SEI is headquartered in Oaks, Pennsylvania, and trades on Nasdaq under SEIC. The company says it has operated for 58 years and that its wealth platforms hold about $8.1 trillion in assets, with $1.2 trillion under custody, as of December 31, 2025. Investment services come from SEI Investments Management Corporation, a registered investment adviser and subsidiary.
