What it does

Wealth Access makes a data platform for banks and other financial institutions that run wealth management, trust and brokerage businesses alongside banking. It pulls data out of core banking, trust accounting and custodial systems and joins it into one record for each client and household, so advisors, bankers and clients see the same picture.

The platform's ingestion engine, which the company calls UETL, extracts, normalizes and enriches data from existing systems without replacing them. On top of that layer sit role-based dashboards for staff, a client-facing portal with the firm's own branding and custom reports, a secure document vault, and a consolidated view that includes assets held at other firms. Wealth Access pitches the held-away view as a way to find assets to bring in, and the unified data as a base for AI projects. It offers APIs and a developer hub for firms that want to build on the data.

Founder and CEO David Benskin spent more than ten years at Merrill Lynch before starting the company in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2011. The company says it serves more than 60 institutions, employs more than 40 people and integrates with more than 25 core, custodial and software providers, including Envestnet and Thomson Reuters.
