Ohpen

Ohpen makes cloud-based core banking software for banks, investment providers and pension firms in Europe. The platform has four product lines: investments and pensions, savings, mortgages and consumer lending, all running on one architecture.

For investment businesses, Ohpen administers execution-only accounts, managed portfolios and defined contribution pension investments. It handles transaction processing, unit administration, portfolio models, settlement and ongoing account servicing, with straight-through processing from the saving phase through drawdown. Firms set products, pricing, fees, interest and customer journeys themselves through configuration rather than code changes. Open APIs connect it to custodians, exchanges, pension administrators and transfer agents, and the company says it offers more than 300 API endpoints. Clients can license it as software or hand over operations under a business process outsourcing arrangement on the same system. In September 2026 Ohpen began providing the IT platform, investment administration and order handling for independent Dutch wealth managers in a setup where ABN AMRO Clearing Bank holds custody.

Ohpen was founded in 2009 and lists Amsterdam as its base, with five offices in four countries and more than 260 staff. It entered the UK in 2021 with mortgage technology and expanded into mortgages and consumer lending through its 2020 acquisition of Davinci. The company says it has more than €150B of assets under administration and holds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II attestations. Prices are not published.
