Hexure

Hexure makes point-of-sale software for life insurance, annuities and other insurance and retirement products. It sells to insurance carriers, to IMOs and BGAs, and to financial institutions such as broker-dealers, RIAs, banks, clearing firms and wirehouses whose advisors sell these products.

Its main product, the FireLight sales platform, handles digital sales of annuities, mutual funds and life, disability and long-term care coverage, from quoting and illustrations through electronic applications, e-delivery and post-issue servicing. An expanded partnership with DTCC adds real-time case status in FireLight. ForeSight is an illustration system that carriers brand and configure, producing single, comparison and composite illustrations for new and in-force business across life, annuity and long-term care lines. Other tools include a life insurance quoting engine that shows rates and underwriting guidelines from one or many carriers, a central library of carrier forms, a mobile app for advisors, and an embedded API that lets firms place product rules and workflows inside their own systems.

Hexure began in 1995 as Insurance Technologies and still uses that legal name. It is now an affiliate of iCapital and brands itself as Hexure by iCapital. The company says it has more than 250 employees.
