What it does

Grantd is an equity compensation planning platform with one version for financial advisors and another for companies that offer stock plans to employees. The advisor product is pitched as a way to bring clients' equity grants into the advice relationship.

An AI document reader pulls holdings from PDFs, screenshots and brokerage statements. The platform gives each client a priority score that flags concentration and timing risks, models exercise, sale and diversification choices with AMT and other tax effects, and includes a plain-language assistant called Ask Grant. Grantd states it is SOC 2 Type 2 certified.

Grantd is based in Denver and led by founder and CEO Brian McDonald, formerly of Morgan Stanley and Charles Schwab. It raised strategic funding in 2025, acquired StockOpter in October 2025, and Dynasty Financial Partners took a minority stake that month. Pricing is not published.
