Chronograph

Chronograph makes cloud software for monitoring private capital portfolios. It sells one product to limited partners, including family offices, OCIOs, fund-of-funds, pension plans, insurers, endowments and sovereign wealth funds, and a second product to general partners across buyout, growth, venture, infrastructure, credit and hedge fund strategies.

Chronograph LP gathers fund commitments, secondaries, co-investments and direct deals into one record. It tracks capital accounts, cash flows, fund terms, fees and carry, plus valuation and leverage data at the portfolio company level, and each figure traces back to a source document. Users can measure performance with post-account adjustments, benchmarking, scenario analysis and cash flow forecasts, then pull data into Excel through the xConnect plug-in or a query builder. Chronograph GP automates portfolio company data collection, valuations, investor reporting and data warehousing. Both products offer APIs, a Snowflake data warehouse connection and ESG data collection, and the company has added AI features such as semantic search and plugins for Claude.

The company was founded by former GP and LP investment professionals and software engineers. It is headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, with offices in San Francisco and London. For wealth firms, the LP product is aimed at family offices and OCIOs that hold private fund portfolios.
