SEI brings Zocks AI to its $2.1 trillion adviser network

The partnership pairs an AI assistant with adoption programming, targeting the back-office work advisers would rather skip.

At a glance

  1. Zocks automates meeting preparation, meeting notes, client follow-up, CRM updates, planning updates, client onboarding, forms and client intelligence.
  2. More than a software license, the arrangement treats adoption as the real product.
  3. PLANADVISER's roundup also tracks three similar integration deals.

SEI's adviser services ecosystem has partnered with Zocks Communications to put an AI assistant in front of the advisers in its network. PLANADVISER reported the deal. Zocks automates meeting preparation, meeting notes, client follow-up, CRM updates, planning updates, client onboarding, forms and client intelligence. SEI managed, advised or administered roughly $2.1 trillion in assets as of June 30, and the two will build adviser education, webinars and practice management programming around the tool.

More than a software license, the arrangement treats adoption as the real product. AI vendors have no shortage of distribution channels; the harder part is getting existing advisers to change how they work. SEI's education push is a bet on that second problem.

PLANADVISER's roundup also tracks three similar integration deals. Zeplyn's AI agents now complete Schwab's digital account-opening workflow, pulling client details from meetings, emails, CRM records and documents, filling the relevant fields and returning a finished draft for human review, while live Schwab holdings and transactions feed into the resulting client briefs. Early pilots saved advisers more than 12 hours a week and cut the time needed for not-in-good-order submissions by roughly 80%. Mili's platform now pairs with Holistiplan's tax planning software, drawing answers from clients' previous tax returns and folding scenario analyses into planning conversations; Holistiplan is used by more than 10,000 firms, while Mili works with RIAs and broker/dealers managing more than $250 billion. WealthReach announced a two-way integration with SageContent, an all-in-one video content platform.

All four put AI inside systems advisers already use, not in a separate tool. The pitch is the same: offload the repetitive back office that eats a planner's week — notes, forms, follow-ups. The adoption race, on this evidence, will be won by platforms like Schwab's custody and SEI's network, not by one-off tools. How those AI outputs hold up under compliance review is the open question.
