Troy, MI, USFounded 2005advisorlegacy.comNot yet confirmed by the company
Advisor Legacy sells valuation, succession, continuity, deal support and coaching services to independent financial advisors and to the broker-dealers and lenders that work with them. The company says it has guided more than 2,000 independent advisors and worked on practice transitions totaling $15B in AUM.
Its standard business valuation, priced at a flat $1,295, covers AUM-based practices and produces a PDF report with fair market value, peer comparisons, value drivers and detractors, a MaxVal Predictor of value over time, and profitability analysis, followed by a 45-minute review call. Business Valuation Plus and Specialty Valuation tiers are also offered. Free calculators for broker-dealer and RIA practices give a quick value range; the broker-dealer version uses AUM, gross revenue, recurring revenue share and payout rate. Other services include practice sales support for buyers and sellers, deal support, PracticeProtect continuity agreements, entity and legal support, lending support with an escrow service, a practice health assessment, a buyer readiness assessment, memberships, and executive and operations coaching built around its Legacy Firm framework.
The firm began in 2005 as Key Management Group, a practice management consultancy, and later added valuation, succession and practice sales. It is based in Troy, Michigan.
