Smedvig Ventures leads €6m seed in Berlin bookkeeping startup mika

Basel family office Wecken & Cie also joined the round, Family Office Hub reported on Oct. 8.

At a glance

  1. The company operates as Get Mika GmbH from Köpenicker Straße and was founded in 2022.
  2. mika reports more than 750 corporate customers, up from around 400 at the start of 2026.
  3. Smedvig operates from Stavanger and London, and its site dates the family business to 1915, with the fourth generation in charge and $2.4 billion in assets under management.

mika, a Berlin bookkeeping software company, has raised a €6 million seed round led by Smedvig Ventures, with Basel family office Wecken & Cie also participating. Family Office Hub reported the round on Oct. 8.

The company operates as Get Mika GmbH from Köpenicker Straße and was founded in 2022. It repositioned in 2024 around software that reads receipts, keeps the books, files advance VAT returns and prepares year-end accounts for small German companies. Accountants review the work.

mika reports more than 750 corporate customers, up from around 400 at the start of 2026. It also reports revenue passing €1 million annualised in July 2026 and monthly growth above 20% for several months. Pricing starts at €49 a month for bookkeeping and €99 for accounting and financial statements. The capital funds growth and further development of the AI system.

Smedvig operates from Stavanger and London, and its site dates the family business to 1915, with the fourth generation in charge and $2.4 billion in assets under management. The portfolio spans real estate, venture capital, private equity, long-only equity, hedge funds and fixed income, according to Family Office Hub.

Family Office Hub says the round's structure is the notable part: neither the lead nor the follower is a conventional seed fund, and neither faces a fund life that forces an exit. The source also flags a practical obstacle for founders working that channel: most family offices publish nothing, and the ones that do rarely list a contact for inbound deal flow.
