The group now operates as Longwater Haffey Group of Raymond James and includes senior registered client service associate Traci Havens. It has been featured among Forbes' best-in-state wealth teams this year. Longwater counts more than 26 years in the industry, 14 of them at Truist Investment Services, and Haffey's registration record goes back to 2000. Gregg Stupinski, the channel's South Atlantic regional director, announced the hires.
Bank-channel advisors weighing a retention offer against an employee-channel pitch got two reference points in the same week. Longwater Haffey's $700 million at Truist and the $460 million Krawec Wealth Management team that left Wells Fargo for the same channel Oct. 28 — as Private Wealth Daily previously reported — come to about $1.16 billion of client assets, according to Moves Wire. Terms were not disclosed for either move.
Moves Wire records six Truist advisor moves in the past 12 months, three joining the firm and three leaving. Its most recent Truist entry, dated Oct. 16, is The Kellam Group, a seven-person team with $1.2 billion in client assets that moved to Rockefeller Global Family Office.
Raymond James' own 12-month ledger is not one-directional. Moves Wire records four arrivals and nine departures at the firm over the past 12 months. Deal Tracker shows two deals in the same period with Raymond James as the buyer, both announced and neither closed, the latest dated Sept. 22.
