PSCA taps PNC's Dall; Alight adds a wealth chief

The two personnel picks show the DC industry moving value from the plan record to the participant's wealth relationship.

At a glance

  1. Dall leads Defined Contribution Retirement Solutions at PNC Institutional Asset Management, overseeing investment advisory, investment management, financial wellness and employee education for defined contribution plans; he has been at PNC since 2015, currently serves on PSCA's Leadership Committee, and previously chaired its Thought Leadership Council.
  2. PSCA executive director Will Hansen said Dall's “commitment to plan sponsor success, participant financial well-being and industry advancement” has made a meaningful impact across the retirement plan community.
  3. The corporate roundup also flags two product items: BitcoinIRA's launch of so-called Freedom Accounts and Delta's matching of seed money in what the source calls the “Trump Account.”

The DC industry keeps moving value from the plan record to the participant's wealth relationship, and this week's personnel news marks the direction twice. 401(k) Specialist reports that the Plan Sponsor Council of America has named Christopher M. Dall its 2026 Plan Advisor of the Year, a recognition that sits squarely in the advice, wellness and education layer sponsors buy to move participants from contribution to readiness.

PSCA executive director Will Hansen said Dall's “commitment to plan sponsor success, participant financial well-being and industry advancement” has made a meaningful impact across the retirement plan community. The same source reports that Alight has named Bruce E. Wolfe senior vice president and wealth solution leader, effective Sept. 14, a member of Alight's executive leadership who will steer the firm's wealth strategy inside what Alight describes as its integrated benefits operating system. That is a different hire from another benefits operations chief; Alight is putting its product roadmap on the participant-wealth side of the business.

The corporate roundup also flags two product items: BitcoinIRA's launch of so-called Freedom Accounts and Delta's matching of seed money in what the source calls the “Trump Account.” The available text provides no detail on either.

Wolfe's new perch at Alight is a direct bet that the wealth relationship will be built on top of the benefits platform, and PSCA's own 2026 survey shows how much of that gap remains: 83% of eligible employees contributed to HSAs but only 22% invested.
