Northampton Capital Partners, ABR Capital Partners and Biynah Industrial Partners formed a $200 million joint venture called Transportation Related Infrastructure Platform, or TRIP, IREI reported on Nov. 2. The vehicle will acquire, own and operate contracted logistics assets across the United States, including truck terminals, fleet terminals, freight-handling facilities and other transportation-related infrastructure.
The partners said they expect additional acquisitions in supply-constrained logistics markets. TRIP starts from an existing portfolio of seven assets in seven states, according to IREI. Equity commitments by partner, leverage and fee terms were not disclosed.
For allocators, the venture is a sector-specific industrial vehicle built on contracted freight assets rather than warehouse or data center exposure. Northampton's founding partner Corinne Still framed the investment case around supply constraints, saying terminals "that sit in the center of the freight network in supply-constrained last-mile markets are challenging to replicate."
Northampton is the larger of the two managers by regulatory assets, reporting $1.3 billion across seven accounts in a Form ADV filed May 22, 2026, with 12 employees. ABR reported $487 million across 12 accounts in a Form ADV filed May 12, 2026. The firm closed a deal as buyer on Oct. 29, when Apricus bought a leased Texas IOS site with ABR, as Private Wealth Daily previously reported.
