Bluerock High Income Institutional Credit Fund declared its seventeenth consecutive quarterly distribution on Oct. 15 at a current annualized rate of 8.1%. Holders invested for the full quarter receive about $0.45 per share, the company said in the release.

The fund has paid about $10.67 per share in distributions since its June 21, 2022 launch, and net assets were roughly $168 million on Sept. 30, 2026. Tickers are IIMAX, IIMCX and IIMWX.

Advisors underwriting the fund today have a net expense ratio contractually set only through Jan. 31, 2027, because the fee waiver or expense absorption runs at least until that date. Before waivers, the total annual operating expense ratio is 3.81% for Class A shares, 4.61% for Class C and 3.66% for the I share, effective Feb. 1, 2026. The release does not state what the net ratio becomes after the waiver period.

What the $48.7 billion measures

The fund reported positions in 104 collateralized loan obligations representing about $48.7 billion of aggregate underlying loan value, with exposure to more than 1,350 underlying senior secured loans, as of Sept. 30, 2026. That figure describes the loans beneath the CLO tranches the fund holds, not the fund's own assets. The release gives no fund-level leverage figure and no notional size for the CLO positions themselves, so the look-through total cannot be combined with the $168 million net asset figure into a leverage ratio.

The release does not state what share of the portfolio sits in CLO debt tranches rather than the underlying loans, or what the 8.1% distribution is paid out of. It describes how total net returns are calculated but quotes no return figure; the 8.1% is a distribution rate, not a return.
