What it does

WealthTec sells WealthTec Suite, licensed planning software for advisors who serve high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, plus PlanXPRT, a service in which WealthTec staff use the software to produce plan illustrations for an advisor's clients.

The suite is grouped into several model families. Pinnacle is a global planner and asset allocation tool. Cash flow and Monte Carlo tools cover retirement and survivor needs. The Cash Flow & Estate Planner handles combined income tax, insurance and estate projections, and EstatePro covers advanced estate and charitable strategies. Further tools compare qualified plan and IRA distribution options and illustrate specific charitable and estate techniques.

WealthTec was founded in 1999 by Howard L. Eisenberg, CPA/PFS, CFP, a former Ernst & Young senior manager, and is based in Fulton, Maryland. Annual licenses are $3,495 for two users, $4,995 for three, $6,195 for four and $1,399 per user for five or more, with a 45-day free trial.
