What it does

Canopy makes wealth data aggregation and reporting software for private banks, family offices (single and multi-family), external asset managers, trustees and accounting firms. The company was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Singapore, with an office in Hong Kong. It says it has more than 60 institutional clients across over 20 countries and connects to more than 250 custodians.

The platform pulls account data from every bank and custodian a client uses, across currencies and legal entities, and reconciles positions and cash each day. Coverage extends beyond bank-held assets to private equity, venture capital and hedge fund holdings. Users get performance and risk reporting, white-label reports that multi-family offices can issue to each family, and branded views that private banks can give relationship managers and clients, including assets held away. Canopy also offers AI tools that answer plain-language questions from the reconciled data and agent workflows for operations tasks, which clients choose whether to switch on.

Canopy says it is backed by venture firms and family offices. It keeps client data under Singapore jurisdiction and holds ISO 27001:2022 certification.
