Veteran Duo Managing $316M Leaves Stifel for Raymond James

Raymond James picks up another veteran team as its 2026 recruiting run continues.

Financial Advisor Magazine reports that Michael Rose and Scott Gillespie, two advisors who managed $316 million in client assets at Stifel, have moved to Raymond James & Associates in Lafayette, Ind. The duo, operating as Pathway Advisory Group of Raymond James, joined the firm's employee channel in May, according to the magazine's account of a Raymond James news release and BrokerCheck. They are supported by senior registered service associate Patty Horner and focus on multi-generational wealth planning, retirement, and education strategies for individuals, families, and small business owners.

Why it matters

The addition extends Raymond James's recent recruiting momentum, which the magazine notes includes a $1.1 billion team that joined from Robert W. Baird last week and comes after the firm reported record fiscal third-quarter earnings. For RIAs, the shift of veteran teams into employee channels underscores how succession-planning support and local leadership are becoming decisive factors in advisor retention and recruitment.
