For allocators underwriting data-center projects, orders are the more forward-looking line than booked sales. Revenue recognized in the quarter reflects contracts already signed; a doubling of orders suggests customers kept committing to new power and cooling equipment through September.
Adjusted earnings per share rose 78% to $2.21. Americas revenue grew 75% to $3 billion, Asia Pacific sales rose 50% to $779.3 million and EMEA grew 23% to $544.7 million. The shares remain below a May high but are up 35% this year.
Vertiv closed its acquisition of King Environmental Services, a data center fluid management firm, this week; the deal was announced in September. "We are in the middle of the largest infrastructure buildout, and it's accelerating," chief executive Giordano Albertazzi said. In September the company outlined a 22,000-square-meter expansion at Nové Mesto nad Váhom in Slovakia adding switchgear and liquid cooling lines, as Private Wealth Daily previously reported.
