The leveraged leaderboard turns into a product catalog

GraniteShares placed four funds in the top nine and three issuers each ran a Microsoft 2x ETF, as the weekly list ranked products as much as trades.

At a glance

  1. The publisher's caveat comes attached to the whole exercise — leverage means these funds can move quickly, and the daily reset makes the weekly number a path-dependent snapshot, not a forecast.
  2. SOLT rode Solana's climb on institutional ETF inflows, a major governance vote, and rising network activity, per the list's publisher.
  3. The returns follow the underlying names; the product story is in the stacking.

Solana's 2x leveraged fund led the weekly tape with a gain north of 25%, but the more instructive sight was just behind it: Direxion, T-Rex, and GraniteShares all landed 2x-long Microsoft ETFs inside the top seven, on a list that also carried GraniteShares' 2x ServiceNow fund up roughly 25%. The publisher's caveat comes attached to the whole exercise — leverage means these funds can move quickly, and the daily reset makes the weekly number a path-dependent snapshot, not a forecast.

SOLT rode Solana's climb on institutional ETF inflows, a major governance vote, and rising network activity, per the list's publisher. The Microsoft trio from Direxion, T-Rex, and GraniteShares caught a tech-sector rally built on easing AI-spending fears and positive enterprise software sentiment, while GraniteShares' NOWL gained as Salesforce's strong earnings calmed the worry that AI would replace legacy software. CrowdStrike's 2x fund (CRWL) made the list on the company's Q2 results, raised guidance, and Fal.Con 2026 announcements; both of Strategy's 2x funds — Defiance's MSTX and GraniteShares' MSTP — rose more than 11% as Strategy resumed large-scale Bitcoin purchases during a crypto surge. DULL, MicroSectors' 3x inverse gold ETN, rounded out the board with a gain above 10%, the lone non-equity trade among crypto, software, security, and gold.

The returns follow the underlying names; the product story is in the stacking. GraniteShares alone accounts for four of the nine funds on the list — NOWL, CRWL, MSFL, and MSTP — and it is running head-to-head with Defiance on Strategy, just as T-Rex and Direxion go head-to-head with GraniteShares on Microsoft. The category's issuers are shipping duplicates regardless of overlap; the overlap is not an accident of the tape but the category's business model, and the single-stock leveraged leaderboard now ranks products as much as trades.

This week's leaderboard is the launch machine outrunning the shelf — as this publication has argued, the scarce asset is distribution room rather than the underlying idea. The funds that land at the top are the ones holding names the market already wants; three Microsoft 2x funds in the same top seven is what that congestion looks like before a shakeout. The next down week will test which of these products has real shelf space — leverage cuts both ways, and a list this crowded rarely stays this crowded when the tape turns.
