Securitize, issuer of BlackRock's BUIDL, adds Stellar

The tokenization platform already supports Ethereum, Solana and Avalanche, and the firms say Stellar assets can be configured for KYC, clawbacks and sanctions.

At a glance

  1. Securitize and the Stellar Development Foundation said assets on Stellar can be configured for customer identification, clawbacks and sanctions compliance.
  2. For advisors with clients in tokenized funds, the addition puts a fourth network into custody and operations reviews.
  3. Securitize chief executive Carlos Domingo said Stellar has the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets.

Securitize added Stellar to the blockchains it supports for tokenized assets, giving the firm that issues and manages BlackRock's BUIDL money-market fund a fourth network alongside Ethereum, Solana and Avalanche.

Securitize and the Stellar Development Foundation said assets on Stellar can be configured for customer identification, clawbacks and sanctions compliance. The addition was announced at Meridian 2026, the foundation's annual conference in Lisbon.

For advisors with clients in tokenized funds, the addition puts a fourth network into custody and operations reviews. Because KYC, clawbacks and sanctions rules can be configured on the asset itself, due-diligence teams have a concrete feature to test against Ethereum, Solana and Avalanche.

Securitize chief executive Carlos Domingo said Stellar has the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets.

Securitize converts real-world assets such as equity and debt into tokens that trade like cryptocurrencies. Stellar already carries a tokenized money-market fund run by Franklin Templeton, and MoneyGram moves money across it daily, CoinDesk reported.
