Raymond James adds $200M Wells Fargo team; Arden Trust names president

Raymond James pulls in a pair of Wells Fargo advisors, Arden Trust puts a trust veteran in the president's seat, and Wooster Square adds a specialist.

Raymond James has added Abby Stancik and Julie Sabransky to its employee advisor channel. The two, operating as Stancik & Sabransky Wealth Management of Raymond James in Deerfield, Illinois, came from Wells Fargo, where they managed more than $200 million in client assets for individuals, families, healthcare professionals and retirees. Client service associates Melissa Hypes and Blake Carpenter joined them, Family Wealth Report reported.

Arden Trust has named Aaron Reber president. Reber arrives from Huntington National Bank, where his most recent post was director of wealth management strategy and solutions; before that he led Huntington's institutional and personal trust businesses. Earlier he spent time on JP Morgan Private Bank's Global Trusts & Estates leadership team as a managing director, and he started out as a practicing attorney. At Arden Trust he will lead strategic growth initiatives and strengthen the service platform.

Wooster Square Advisors, an investment management firm in New Haven, Connecticut, appointed Kim Welch as wealth manager. She joins from Park Avenue Securities, where she specialized in serving female business owners, nonprofit organizations, and high and ultra-high net worth individuals. The firm will keep her on that clientele.

The $200 million Raymond James book is the only disclosed dollar figure in the group, and it fits a familiar pattern: advisors moving from a large bank into a firm with its own support structure. Reber's move is the more strategic one. A lawyer with over two decades in trust and fiduciary work now sits atop a trust company, a role where client relationships and legal judgment carry the franchise. Wooster Square's hire fills a specialist seat. These are modest moves, but they show the ordinary churn of a recruiting market that stays busy.
