Marcus Day has left Brookfield Asset Management to lead LaSalle Global Solutions, the unit that runs LaSalle Investment Management's $10 billion private indirect investment platform.

Day moved to LaSalle on Tuesday and formally takes over on Jan. 1, 2027, according to LaSalle. He reports directly to CEO Brad Gries.

LaSalle lists multimanager, fund of funds, joint venture and co-investment strategies as the four platforms Day will lead.

Day was co-head of Brookfield's real estate secondaries platform from 2020. Before that he spent four years as head of acquisitions and real estate secondaries at Partners Group, and he began his career in 2006 as a senior associate at Winten Property Group, handling real estate acquisitions, asset management and development.

Day pointed to the LaSalle and JLL networks in announcing the move. "What makes this opportunity truly compelling for both LaSalle and our investors is the power of the broader LaSalle and JLL platforms," he said in a statement. In indirect investing, he said, access to JLL and LaSalle's global research, localized market intelligence and transaction flow creates a distinct information advantage, letting the platform underwrite risk more effectively and source opportunities globally. He called the market opportunity in indirect investing and liquidity solutions significant.

Gries said in a statement that Day helped build and scale a global investment platform, brings deep sponsor and investor relationships, and has led investing across the Americas and Asia Pacific.
