L&T's Vyoma.AI breaks ground on 52MW Chennai data center

It is the second at the Chennai AI Factory campus, which already runs a 30MW data center on 150 MVA of power.

At a glance

  1. With the 52MW building complete, the Chennai campus would total 82MW, up from 30MW today.
  2. Vyoma.AI's India target is more than 250MW against 32MW live today: the 2MW Navi Mumbai site and the 30MW Chennai building.
  3. Two more sites are in development, according to its 2025 annual review, and the company has signed a memorandum of understanding for a 250MW data center in Gujarat.

Larsen & Toubro's cloud and data center unit Vyoma.AI broke ground this week on a 52MW facility in Chennai, its second data center in the city, Data Center Dynamics reported.

The new building sits on L&T's planned AI Factory campus, which already hosts an operational 30MW data center supported by 150 MVA of power. Together AI has previously been announced as a customer of the campus; L&T said in August it would host 10,000 Nvidia GPUs there for Together AI, Private Infrastructure Daily previously reported.
