Kintra Wealth has added Great Scott Financial Services, a practice led by Scott Seymour that serves approximately $355 million in client assets, InvestmentNews reported. Seymour joins Kintra as partner and senior wealth advisor and will continue leading his team.
The addition puts Kintra above $4 billion in client assets and 75 professionals nationwide, according to the report. The advisor-owned RIA was formed in April by six former Commonwealth Financial Network teams, part of the reshuffling that followed LPL Financial's $2.7 billion acquisition of Commonwealth.
Seymour was registered with Commonwealth for seven years, according to his BrokerCheck record cited by InvestmentNews. He entered the business in 1998 at the advisory practice his father founded in Morristown, N.J., and took over in 2010 when his father retired under a completed succession plan. The practice focuses on long-term relationships with multigenerational families.
Seymour said the move ends years of working largely on his own. “For much of my career, I've operated as an island of one, serving my clients while also managing every aspect of running a practice,” he said. At Kintra he will draw on shared staff for investments, operations, technology, compliance, marketing and client service.
“He's built a remarkable reputation by always putting clients first, and that's exactly the type of advisor Kintra was built to support,” said Andy Harris, Kintra's chief executive.
Kintra was formed by former Commonwealth teams, and departures from the firm continued after the LPL deal. A January report from AdvizorPro and Muriel Consulting, which tracked advisor departures from Commonwealth after the acquisition, counted 653 advisors leaving between April 1 and Dec. 31, 2025, InvestmentNews reported.
