Harraden Circle Investments has named David Walch, a 14-year King Street Capital Management veteran, as portfolio manager to help launch an opportunistic strategy spanning public and private markets.

Walch joins the New York-based firm on Nov. 1, 2026 and will co-manage the strategy with founder and chief investment officer Fritz Fortmiller. The strategy will run alongside Harraden's existing event-driven strategy and target corporate credit, structured credit, real estate and real assets. Terms, including a target size, were not disclosed.

Allocators who bought Harraden for its event-driven strategy are now being asked to underwrite a second, multi-asset capability. Its record will rest partly on a portfolio manager who has not run money at the firm before.

At King Street, Walch was most recently partner and co-portfolio manager and sat on its management, global investment, real estate investment and risk committees. Before King Street, he was a managing director at Perry Capital and an associate in Morgan Stanley's real estate group. He has nearly three decades of investment experience.
