Former UBS leaders Mara Glassel and Julie Fox will join &Partners, a St. Louis-based hybrid broker/dealer, at the start of next year as equity partners and executive team members, according to WealthManagement.com. They will co-lead the firm's ultra-high-net-worth and private wealth businesses after a combined 52 years at UBS.

Glassel spent 28 years at UBS, most recently leading the greater New York market's 18 offices. She had previously been head of national sales for Wealth Management Americas and helped build UBS' banking and structured notes businesses. Fox spent 24 years at UBS, most recently leading its Southeast region wealth management and private wealth management businesses across 15 states.

What &Partners is getting in the pair, on the report's account, is market-level leadership: an 18-office metro region and a 15-state Southeast territory. The executive team they join includes co-founder and former Wells Fargo Advisors CEO David Kowach. "Mara and Julie know what it takes to serve sophisticated clients and support exceptional advisors," Kowach said in a statement. "They're choosing independence to help build something great."

Ballast Rock hires an Integrity veteran of almost 20 years

Ballast Rock Private Wealth hired Deann Cross as a senior wealth advisor after almost 20 years at Integrity Financial Corporation, according to WealthManagement.com. The Charleston, S.C.-based RIA reports $400 million in assets under management.

Cross will work with clients on investment strategy, financial planning and wealth objectives, and the announcement cites her expertise in multi-generational planning for individuals, families and business owners. At Integrity she held leadership and advisory roles across investment management, financial planning and client service out of the firm's Bellevue, Wash., office. She started her career as a loan originator at Washington Mutual in Seattle, according to her LinkedIn profile.

"Her focus on business owner support, guiding families through generational wealth transfer, and mentoring the next generation of advisors will be an important part of our continued growth," Ballast Rock CEO Andrew Mescon said in a statement.

"What drew me to Ballast Rock Private Wealth is the firm's commitment to delivering a highly personalized, sophisticated wealth management experience," Cross wrote in a post about the move.
