The Fidelis Partnership has named Greg Bowman chief executive officer of its Bermuda operations and a member of the group executive committee.

Royal Gazette Bermuda Re reported on 20 October that Mark Herget becomes chief underwriting officer for insurance in Bermuda, deputy group head of property and head of property binders. He will lead TFP's property binders growth strategy. Herget has been at the firm since 2020 and was previously deputy group head of D&F property, energy and construction.

Danny Mereu becomes deputy CUO Bermuda, overseeing all Bermuda analytics including portfolio performance. He joined TFP in 2023 and was previously group head of property underwriting analytics and pricing.

Bowman joined TFP in 2023, moved to Bermuda in June and keeps his responsibilities as group head of ceded reinsurance. The report also lists other recent Bermuda hires and launches, including Helen Wilson as CUO reinsurance Bermuda, who begins in January, and Sarah Ching as senior underwriter, international property. Two Pine Walk cells were also established: Mezura Capital Partners, a capital solutions MGA led by Shireen Gammoh, and Adroit Underwriting, a US SME casualty reinsurance MGA led by Jeff Markowski.

John Paul O'Hare, group director of underwriting, said the appointments "further enhance our Bermuda leadership, cementing the significant investment we have made in talent and capability over the last 18 months", and cited the two Pine Walk cells in describing what he called a powerful growth engine in Bermuda.

In August refinancing, a $2.04 billion term loan B cut Fidelis's spread by 225 basis points and, as this publication reported, saves roughly $46 million a year to fund Lloyd's and Pine Walk growth.
