European Investment Bank

The European Investment Bank committed at least €30 billion to climate adaptation by 2030 under a 2026–2030 plan.

The plan doubles the bank's financing pace and uses blended finance and risk-sharing tools to mobilise private capital.

For fund selectors, the commitment creates a €30 billion public mandate that will be executed through those tools. The terms of the risk-sharing arrangements will affect how much of the allocation reaches private managers.
