- In a Sept. 9 blog post cited by ETF Trends, Direxion put the potential valuation as high as $2 trillion and said institutions funding ANT positions would most likely trim megacap technology and AI holdings: "The most likely sources are the megacap technology and AI stocks that have dominated portfolios in recent years."
Direxion filed with the SEC on Oct. 26 to launch two 2x single-stock ETFs on Anthropic, the day the AI developer filed its IPO registration.
Anthropic's Form S-1, filed the same day, says it intends to list Class A common stock on Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker ANT, with the offering expected in mid-November, according to ETF Trends. The Direxion Daily Anthropic Bull 2X ETF (ANTO) will seek 200% of the daily performance of Anthropic's shares, before fees and expenses. The Direxion Daily Anthropic Bear 2X ETF (ANTD) is the bearish side of the pair.
For advisors, the pair would offer a listed way to take a position on Anthropic once the shares trade. Because both funds reset daily, performance over a holding period diverges from the share-price move.
In a Sept. 9 blog post cited by ETF Trends, Direxion put the potential valuation as high as $2 trillion and said institutions funding ANT positions would most likely trim megacap technology and AI holdings: "The most likely sources are the megacap technology and AI stocks that have dominated portfolios in recent years." That would create a supply question for broad tech ETFs concentrated in those names.
Anthropic's IPO filing came a day before Anthropic added six connectors to Claude for Financial Advisors, as Private Wealth Daily previously reported. A fund tied to a daily share return needs a traded price to track, so the pair would likely list after the mid-November offering rather than alongside the filing.
