CVC Capital Partners sold its entire 13.8% stake in Spain's Naturgy, a disposal Renewables Now reported on 27 May 2026 without a buyer, price or completion date. The newsroom's tracking data classifies the CVC-Naturgy item as a closed deal at 13.8%. What the stake fetched, and who holds it now, are not in the coverage.
Greenvolt secured UniCredit debt for a 400 MW Polish battery portfolio, a financing Renewables Now reported on 27 August 2026 without facility size, tenor or project locations. Capacity is the only figure the report carries.
The two gaps do different work. Without a price, a 13.8% stake has no implied equity value; the percentage says who owned what, not what it was worth. The buyer's identity would carry at least as much information, since it would indicate whether the position went to another infrastructure investor, a utility or a financial holder. On the Greenvolt side, 400 MW with no facility size, tenor or site list supports no reading of leverage, amortisation or local grid exposure. That both transactions took place is established; how either was priced is not.
In the five energy items in the newsroom's recent coverage pack, three carry capacity figures and two carry currency amounts, and none states a price per megawatt. One of them is the RWE payment of EUR 3.6bn to raise its stake in transmission operator Amprion, which Renewables Now reported on 23 June 2026.
That tally describes a small sample, not a disclosure norm. PJM's 2.1 GW of cleared projects, Flexbase and Erne's planned 500 MW redox-flow battery in Switzerland and Greenvolt's 400 MW each arrive with megawatts attached; only the RWE item states what was paid for an asset.
For an infrastructure capital reader, the two items still carry directional information: CVC is out of Naturgy entirely, and a bank is lending into Polish battery storage, where the portfolio is 400 MW. The details that would make either entry comparable — the buyer, the price, the facility size, the tenor, the sites — are the ones absent from both reports.
