Corient announced on September 23, 2026 that it is adding FortCay Family Advisory, a Cayman Islands wealth manager and multi-family office. Corient's release says the acquisition establishes its presence in Cayman, which the announcement describes as a leading international financial center and an important hub for private wealth.

FortCay was founded by Billy Harty and Matt Houghton and serves 14 ultra-high-net-worth families representing approximately US$2.6 billion in client assets, according to the announcement. Its services include wealth management, estate planning and family office work. "Their partnership model gives us access to the depth and scale of a global firm while creating new opportunities for our clients," said Harty, FortCay's founder and managing director.

Corient, established in 2020, describes itself as the world's largest multi-family office and non-bank wealth manager focused on ultra-high- and high-net-worth clients. It reports more than 300 partners and over 2,700 employees managing approximately $572 billion globally. Kurt MacAlpine, its founding partner and chief executive, said in the announcement that a meaningful share of the world's most complex family wealth is structured and administered in the Cayman Islands, and that establishing a presence there deepens Corient's ability to serve clients who live, work and invest across borders.
