Silver Lake's leader spent 27 years at Raymond James

Silver Lake was formed in March 2013 for individuals, families, foundations and retirement plans. Partner and Managing Director David Malleck leads the Dallas firm. SEC records cited in the report show Malleck spent 27 years affiliated with Raymond James before registering with Silver Lake in 2024.

WorthPointe, the largest of the three by assets and footprint, was founded in the early 2000s with offices in Austin and Tyler, Texas, and in San Diego and Orange County, Calif. Its services include financial planning, investment consulting, estate planning, asset protection, charitable giving and employer-sponsored retirement plan guidance. R Meier, founded in 1995, works with individuals and families in Fort Atkinson, Wis., on tax, retirement, estate and trust planning alongside customized portfolios.

Beacon Pointe also added two C-suite executives: Katie Cullen, a BlackRock alum, as chief growth and integration officer overseeing practice management, M&A and strategic integration, and Sarah Green from Vanguard as chief risk and compliance officer. R Meier's July 1 close preceded both hires; WorthPointe's Oct. 15 close followed them. David Malleck said Beacon Pointe met the marks his firm sought in a buyer, citing "a strong culture across both the home office and local teams, a robust technology platform and a growth-oriented mindset."
