Ascentis Independent Advisors added four practices that had operated as one Raymond James Financial Services branch since 2022. Together they bring more than $1 billion in client assets to the Dallas-based affiliation platform, with offices in California and Colorado. All four will continue to use Raymond James as their primary custodian.

The largest is IMPACT Financial Strategies, at approximately $303 million in client assets as of Sept. 15, 2026, led by Justin Davis. Capital Waypoint, led by Jarrod C. Martinez, joins with approximately $256 million. Rooted Wealth Management adds approximately $275 million and Citrus Wealth Management approximately $230 million. The four sum to about $1.06 billion.

The practices' clients range from retiring utility workers and healthcare families in California's Inland Empire to business owners and philanthropically focused clients in Fort Collins, Colorado, according to InvestmentNews. "Experienced advisors want the freedom to run their practices and the support to keep improving what they can deliver for clients," said Michael Mansur, CEO of Ascentis Holdings.

Other additions and the block move

InvestmentNews reported that three independent wealth management firms announced advisor additions this week totaling more than $1.5 billion in client assets, with Ascentis drawing the largest single haul. Prospera Financial Services, a Dallas-based independent broker-dealer and RIA, separately announced that John Farren of St. Pete Beach, Florida, joined as managing director of Farren Private Wealth.

The Ascentis group is a block move: four practices, one affiliated branch, one destination. This publication has tracked that pattern since four Fort Lauderdale teams moved to NewEdge on a single day in September. The custody stays where it was: Ascentis gains the practices; Raymond James keeps the assets and client accounts. For scale, four independent firms that added teams in a single week in August disclosed about $534 million in client assets, per this publication's earlier reporting.
