Ledger Insights reported that the Core STOXX Europe 600 fund is the first large European equity index fund to add a blockchain-based share class. The class is issued on public Ethereum, with CACEIS acting as transfer agent and tokenization agent.
For allocators, the tokenized class is the same €22.8 billion portfolio with a different settlement route. The due-diligence question is operational: confirm who custodies the token and how a redemption from a wallet back into the fund settles before the class goes into a client portfolio.
The equity class follows three cash-focused initiatives in about a year. In November 2025 Amundi added a tokenized share class to the Amundi Funds Cash EUR money market fund. It then developed tokenized money market share classes with CACEIS and Ant International, built for the fintech group's intra-group treasury so liquidity could move between Ant entities on chain in real time.
The Spiko Amundi Overnight Swap Fund has gathered roughly $2.5 billion and is the largest product on Spiko's tokenized fund platform, Ledger Insights reported. In March, Amundi became delegated investment manager of the total return swap product within Spiko's French SICAV.
Amundi developed the Ant International money market classes with CACEIS, and CACEIS holds both the transfer-agent and tokenization-agent roles on the equity class. JPMorgan plans to put its JPM Coin deposit token on Ethereum for approved counterparties, as Private Wealth Daily previously reported.
