Role Summary

The Manager, Client Account Services (CAS) supports intermediary and institutional client relationships across the client lifecycle, including selected pre-onboarding, onboarding, and ongoing servicing activities in Japan.

The role independently coordinates moderately complex activities within established frameworks, working across local and global stakeholders to identify operational requirements, manage risks and dependencies, and support consistent client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Lifecycle Management and Servicing Serve as the primary operational point of contact for assigned client relationships and servicing activities. Coordinate and manage client requests, operational changes, cash flow notifications, reporting enquiries, and account maintenance activities, including stakeholder coordination, client communications, and escalation of client-impacting risks as appropriate. 2.

Onboarding and Change Management Support Coordinate selected local onboarding and transition activities in partnership with Client Implementation Management (CIM) team and relevant stakeholders, including operational readiness reviews and implementation planning.

Review investment management agreements, investment guidelines, fee schedules, client obligations, and operational or reporting requirements to identify servicing implications, operational dependencies, required internal actions, and implementation needs, coordinating with relevant stakeholders as appropriate. 3.

Client Advocacy and Stakeholder Coordination Act as an internal advocate by clearly communicating client requirements, context, urgency, and desired outcomes. Bring together relevant stakeholders, establish actions, owners, dependencies, and timelines, and maintain visibility over execution, escalating where client outcomes, controls, or service quality may be at risk. 4.

Operational Analysis, Governance and Risk Management Analyze servicing requirements and assess their impact on processes, systems, controls, and applicable regulatory or policy obligations, identifying operational risks, exceptions, dependencies, and information gaps and escalating them in accordance with established governance. Participate in relevant incident and issue reviews and support agreed remediation actions.

Maintain accurate records of client-impacting issues, decisions, requirements, obligations, and outstanding actions, and provide transparency to Relationship Managers and stakeholders through issue reporting, trend analysis, servicing scorecards, and periodic service reviews. 5. Process Improvement and Team Contribution Participate in initiatives designed to improve client servicing and onboarding processes.

Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual activities, and leverage automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and other technology solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, controls, and the client experience. Serve as a team resource on Japan client servicing and selected onboarding requirements, contributing to documentation, knowledge sharing, and consistent practices.

Provide day-to-day guidance, knowledge sharing, and training support to less experienced associates within established functional and regional direction.

Qualifications & Experience

Five or more years of relevant experience in client servicing, onboarding, mandate implementation, or asset management operations. Experience independently coordinating moderately complex servicing, onboarding, or mandate change activities across multiple stakeholders. Strong knowledge of investment products, Japan market operational requirements, and relevant regulatory and control frameworks.

Experience reviewing client or mandate documentation and translating requirements into operational actions. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English. Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: At T. Rowe Price, our associates are our greatest asset.

We thrive because our company culture is built on inclusion and because we sustain a work environment where associates can bring their best selves to work every day. The backgrounds, talents, and experiences of our global associates allow us to embrace new ideas and perspectives that move our business priorities forward and enable us to deliver strong client outcomes.

Here, you can expect equal opportunity and fair and consistent treatment for all. T. Rowe Price is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity of thought, gender, and race.

We believe our continued success depends upon the equal treatment of all associates and applicants for employment without discrimination on the basis of race, religion, creed, colour, national origin, sex, gender, age, mental or physical disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, citizenship status, military or veteran status, pregnancy, or any other classification protected by country, federal, state, or local law.
