About Jay OS

Jay OS, Inc. is building the platform that powers the operations of modern legal practice: intake, drafting, review, scheduling, billing, and client communication. We provide technology, operations, and marketing services, so attorneys can spend their time practicing law instead of running a business. Jay OS is not a law firm and does not provide legal services.

The first law firm Jay OS supports is Jay Law, P.C., an independent California law firm built for the middle of the legal market: the tens of millions of households with real legal needs and the means to pay. Today their options are elite firms built for someone else or form companies that offer documents without counsel.

Jay Law is starting with trusts and estates. Jay OS's mission is broader: to make exceptional legal services accessible to every American by powering firms like it. All legal services are provided by Jay Law, whose attorneys have sole control over legal judgment, client relationships, and which matters the firm takes on.

The role

As Jay OS's first growth hire, you will lead the marketing services Jay OS provides to Jay Law. You'll build the engine that helps households find Jay Law and stay connected with it over time. Today Jay Law's clients come from employer workshops, wealth advisor referrals, and word-of-mouth recommendations in parent communities. You'll figure out what is working and why, turn it into channels that scale, and add the ones we haven't tried yet.

You'll also own the marketing numbers: qualified inquiries, consultations booked, conversion to engagement, and the cost of each. You'll report to the CEO of Jay OS and work daily with Jay Law's attorneys and our engineers.

We're fast-paced, product-driven, and we hire for three traits: smart, nice, and gets things done.

What you'll do

  • Own the marketing funnel for Jay Law end to end, from first touch through booked consultation, along with the dashboards that show where it leaks

  • Scale the employer channel: turn workshops, on-site consultations, and signing days with partner companies into a repeatable program, and build the pipeline of new employers in collaboration with Jay Law, whose attorneys lead all client-facing legal conversations

  • Build relationships with wealth managers, financial advisors, CPAs, and the other professionals who see estate planning needs first, structured so no one is paid for referring a client to Jay Law

  • Make Jay Law the answer when Californians look for estate planning help, on Google and in AI assistants, through SEO, answer-engine optimization, and content that is accurate and useful

  • Test and scale paid, community, and out-of-home channels with clear budgets, hypotheses, and stop criteria

  • Build lifecycle marketing at Jay Law's direction: plan reviews, life-event reminders, and trust funding follow-through for existing clients

  • Partner with Jay Law's attorneys on content and client experience, and with our engineers on intake, scheduling, and delightful client-facing product

  • Work within the rules: every Jay Law ad and communication is approved by a Jay Law attorney, attorney advertising and solicitation rules apply to everything you ship, and Jay OS and Jay Law stay clearly distinct in branding and contact points

Who you are

  • Energized by the idea of giving ordinary people access to exceptional legal counsel and excited to get in on the ground floor of something significant

  • 7+ years in growth, performance, or lifecycle marketing, including time as the first or most senior growth person at a consumer or B2B2C startup

  • You have owned a revenue or customer number, not just a channel, and you know your CAC, LTV, payback, and conversion rates without looking them up

  • Hands-on: you write copy, build landing pages and reports, set up tracking, and run experiments yourself before you hire anyone to do it

  • Experienced with considered, high-trust purchases where the buyer talks to a person before paying, such as legal, financial services, insurance, or healthcare

  • Strong partnership instincts: you are comfortable pitching, crafting partnerships, and then making the program run

  • Great team player who upholds and contributes to a positive and collaborative culture

  • Bonus points: experience in legal tech or the legal field, whether that's marketing a law firm or working at a legal tech company

What success looks like - the first year

  • A repeatable acquisition engine: at least a half dozen channels each producing consultations at a known cost

  • Jay Law meets its targets for booked consultations at a known acquisition cost

  • Jay Law ranks for the estate planning searches that matter in California and is cited by AI assistants

  • A lifecycle program is live, and a measurable share of clients return to Jay Law for updates, trust funding, or additional services

  • The whole team works from the growth dashboards, and next year's plan and budget are built on what you learned

  • We’re in a position to begin scaling the growth team

What we offer

  • The unique opportunity to build a new type of company from the ground up

  • A dynamic, fast-paced environment where your impact is immediate and meaningful

  • Competitive salary, equity, and benefits package

  • The chance to work alongside a brilliant, kind, fast-moving, and experienced founding team

Location

Bay Area preferred, but open to remote for the right person. Regardless of location, the founding team works together closely day to day, and there will be regular in-person time.
