Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our Client Partnership Group (CPG). Comprising over 20 professionals, CPG is responsible for client service, new business development, and product management, serving multiple roles within the firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, a proficient understanding of Microsoft Office (primarily Excel), and is a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines and learn in a fast-paced environment.

CPG sits at the center of how Crestline communicates with investors. The Associate supports that work by producing the models, performance data, and analysis that Product Specialists and the wider team rely on in client and prospect discussions.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside senior and mid-level members of CPG to reach our fundraising goals across our core investment strategies. The Associate will take ownership of recurring deliverables, contribute to the evolution of CPG’s modeling tools, and gain broad exposure to the firm’s investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create fund level models to support performance projections and business decisions, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Calculate and review quarterly fund level performance, aggregating data from multiple internal and external sources and reconciling differences before results are distributed
  • Update and maintain the MS Excel files used by Product Specialists and the wider CPG team, with attention to accuracy, version control, and clear documentation
  • Audit and improve existing models and workbooks by identifying errors, simplifying structure, and automating recurring steps with VBA and macros
  • Support fundraising efforts by preparing performance analyses, data pulls, and supporting materials for investor meetings, presentations, and due diligence requests
  • Respond to ad hoc analytical requests from Product Specialists and the client service and business development teams within defined timelines
  • Document model assumptions, methodologies, and processes so that work can be reviewed, reused, and handed off with confidence

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional Excel skills
    • Experience using VBA, Excel macros, and advanced formulas
  • Ability to build Excel models from scratch as well as improve, expand, and audit existing models
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in financial services, investment banking, or a related quantitative role
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a disciplined approach to checking and validating results
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain analysis to colleagues outside the immediate team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with alternative investments, such as private credit or private equity fund structures
  • Working knowledge of fund performance measures, including IRR, TVPI, and DPI

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation package, including bonus and benefits
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development within a collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Exposure to a wide range of investment strategies and asset classes
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining models used in client and fundraising discussions
  • Regular collaboration with senior and mid-level members of CPG
  • The chance to contribute to the success of an institutional alternative investment management firm
