We thank you for your interest in joining the Barings team, and invite you to explore our current employment opportunities. Barings is seeking a summer intern to support the Client Portfolio Management team across asset classes. This 10-week program provides hands-on experience supporting client servicing, business development, and product initiatives.

High-performing interns may be considered for the Analyst Program upon graduation. Client Portfolio Managers partner with investment teams, sales, and other stakeholders to connect investment expertise with client needs.

The intern will work across strategies rather than focus on a single asset class.

Primary Responsibilities

Prepare market and strategy updates, including performance summaries and portfolio positioning materials. Conduct market and competitor research to support client communications and business development. Gather information for RFPs, DDQs, and other client and prospect requests.

Qualifications

Current junior with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and expected graduation in spring 2028 from an accredited university. Preferred majors include Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, and related fields. Interest in financial markets, investment management, and client communication across asset classes. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to synthesize information into clear materials. Organized, detail-oriented self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment. Curiosity and willingness to learn and responsibly use approved AI-enabled tools.
